Michael J. Hills

Michael J. Hills has over twenty years experience and a proven record of leadership in the area of enterprise and internet software.

Mr. Hills is currently an active entrepreneur and early stage capital investor. Mr. Hills is CEO of his fund, MJH Capital Management LLC, and is a Partner in The Kinsey/Hills Group. Mr. Hills currently serves on several early stage boards and also works as a strategic advisor providing operational guidance.

As an early employee and senior executive at Ariba, Inc., Mr. Hills was instrumental in developing Ariba as the dominant leader in the Enterprise Spend Managment (ESM) market. Originally slated to expand domestic sales, Mr. Hills became Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations, establishing Ariba as the clear leader throughout EMEA. In the year 2000 under his leadership, Ariba EMEA grew software and services revenues from $2 million to just under $100 million. He then returned to the US to leverage broader success as Senior Vice President of Operations.

Previously, Mr. Hills served in various sales and management roles at Oracle Corporation, helping to establish and grow the core technology and enterprise applications business. His primary focus was manufacturing applications for both general business and strategic accounts in the Central US Region.

Prior to Oracle, Mr. Hills worked in sales and management capacities in a number of enterprise software start-ups.

Mr. Hills earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illlinois at Urbana-Champaign.
